Terms of use
Terms
1 October 2026. These terms govern your use of Unilearn. The privacy policy explains what we do with your data. The legal notice says who operates the site.
1. The service
Unilearn is an independent study product. It gives you notes, summaries, flashcards, exercises, and mock exams for specific university courses, plus a record of what you have studied.
What is open today is what the site marks as live. Math A for the University of St. Gallen Assessment Year is live and free with an account. Law A for the University of St. Gallen Assessment Year is live and paid (see section 3). Economics A for the University of St. Gallen Assessment Year is live and paid (see section 3). Business A for the University of St. Gallen Assessment Year is live and paid (see section 3). Droit des personnes for the University of Neuchâtel is live and free with an account. Contextual Studies and other years are not open until the site says they are. We do not sell a subject that has no content.
Unilearn is not the University of St. Gallen, the University of Neuchâtel, or any other university, and it is not endorsed by them. Course names describe the exam you are preparing for. They are not a claim of affiliation.
2. Accounts
The study app requires an account. You can create one with an email and password or with Google. You must be able to enter a contract, which in Switzerland generally means you are 18 or you have the consent of a legal representative.
You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping the password to yourself. One person, one account. Do not share logins.
Creating an account means you accept these terms and the privacy policy. If you do not accept them, do not create an account.
3. Price and payment
Creating an account is free. Math A and the UniNE course that is marked live are free.
Law A, Economics A, and Business A are paid subjects. Each costs CHF 39. The bundle of all three costs CHF 79. Prices include any applicable tax. You pay once; there is no subscription and nothing renews.
A purchase gives the account that bought it access to the subject until 28 February 2027, 23:59 Swiss time, whenever you buy it. After that date access ends unless you buy again. Your progress record stays in your account either way.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your card or TWINT details. You receive a receipt by email.
Refunds: if a subject does not work for you, email us within 14 days of the purchase and we refund it in full. Access to that subject ends when the refund is made. After 14 days, purchases are final, except where the law says otherwise.
Free access we give (for example through a code) follows the same access period and can be withdrawn if it is misused, such as shared or resold.
4. What the materials are
The notes, cards, exercises, and mocks are study aids written for the exam. They are not the lecturer’s official script, not a past paper unless a page says so, and not legal, financial, or academic advice. They can contain mistakes. Check anything that matters against the materials your course actually assigns.
Using Unilearn does not guarantee a grade.
Use the materials for your own study. Do not submit them as your own assessed work, do not pass them off in an exam, and do not share copies of the notes, cards, or exercises outside your account. Your university’s rules on academic integrity still apply to you.
5. Your content
What you type into the product — a name, a semester, confidence marks, answers you reveal — stays yours. You give us permission to store it so the product can work: to show your progress on the devices where you sign in, and to understand which parts of a course are used. We do not sell it. Details are in the privacy policy.
6. Our content
The Unilearn name, the mascot, the site, and the study materials are ours or used with permission. You receive a personal, non-transferable right to use them while your account is open, for your own study. You may not copy the bank of notes, cards, or exercises, resell it, or build a competing product out of it.
7. Acceptable use
Do not try to break the service, scrape it, overload it, probe accounts that are not yours, or use it to send anything unlawful. We may suspend an account that does this.
8. Availability
We aim to keep Unilearn available, and we will change it as courses are added and corrected. We can suspend the service for maintenance, misuse, or a failure of a provider we depend on, including Google Firebase. We do not promise uninterrupted access.
9. Liability
We are liable for damage we cause intentionally or through gross negligence, and for injury to life or limb, without limit. For other damage, our liability is limited to direct damage that is typical for this kind of free study service. We are not liable for exam results, for a mistake in a note you relied on without checking the course materials, or for loss of study data caused by a device you control.
Mandatory rights you have as a consumer under Swiss law are unchanged.
10. Ending your account
You can delete your account from the Account page. That removes your Unilearn data and your login, as described in the privacy policy. We can close an account that breaks these terms. Sections that should survive — intellectual property, liability, and the law that applies — still apply after the account ends.
11. Changes
If we change these terms in a way that affects your account, we will post the new version on this page and change the date at the top. If you keep using Unilearn after that, the new terms apply. If you do not agree, delete your account.
12. Law
Swiss law applies. The courts of St. Gallen have jurisdiction, except where a mandatory rule gives you the right to sue in another Swiss court.
